Los Angeles Breweries

Los Angeles breweriesBefore you begin to sip that golden brew you hold in your hands, stop and think about it for a minute. Remember the days when beer was an acquired taste and your options were limited? Between a select few American beers, their lighter counterparts, and the occasional European brand, everything tasted slightly bitter and was only tolerable when served ice cold.

Today, however, beer drinking has become an art, and as craft Los Angeles breweries pop up on every street corner, your choices have increased exponentially making it one of the best things to do in Los Angeles! Lagers, IPAs, dark beers, even peanut butter and jelly flavored ones have surfaced; the only limits are in your imagination. If you happen to be visiting Los Angeles and looking for some of the best things to do in Los Angeles, you will soon discover that our imaginations are limitless! Here’s a list of a few Los Angeles breweries to help you find your own personal favorites.

Eagle Rock Brewery – 3056 Roswell Street, Los Angeles

Small, intimate, and inexpensive, Eagle Rock Brewery is the perfect spot for those who are just beginning to appreciate the wonders of craft beers. Offering free tours on Sundays and a wide selection of politically named brews, the slightly hidden location of this brewhouse means you rarely have to fight the crowds!

Arts District Brewing Company – 828 Traction Ave, Los Angeles

The beer is always cold, the people are always friendly, and the party is always happening when you visit Arts District Brewing Company. Featuring fun bar games, tasty bar foods, and the most delicious of craft brews, there’s a little something for everyone here. Traction, an IPA, is especially refreshing and flavorsome!

Angel City Brewery – 216 Alameda Street, Los Angeles

Casually industrial, the Roebling building is home to Angel City Brewery, a gem of a pub that features beer pong, Tacos & Trivia Tuesdays, and the Eureka Wit, a tasty Belgian brew that goes down smooth!

Golden Road Brewing – 5410 West San Fernando Road, Los Angeles

Truly the king of Los Angeles breweries, Golden Road Brewing is the largest in the city! This is the place where families gather to celebrate, couples meet, singles mingle, and the beer is free flowing!

Honest Abe Cidery – 17800 South Main Street #105, Gardena

A newcomer to the Los Angeles brewery scene, Honest Abe Cidery, while not located in LA proper, is a worthy addition to the cause. Although the beverages served are considered craft ciders, not beers, we think you will thank us for convincing you to add this joint to your Los Angeles brewery itinerary!

After a day of visiting breweries, make sure you book one of our vacation rentals to experience Los Angeles like never before!
